HOW WE STARTED

Serve the Women and Poor (SWAP) Trust was established in the year 2001 by socially minded educationalist in India. It is a legal entity duly registered under Indian Trust Act, 1882. The SWAP Trust also licensed to avail tax exemption under 12AA and 80G of Income Tax Department, Government of India and got license to receive foreign donations under the Foreign Contribution Regulation (FCRA) Act of Ministry of Home Affairs. Since its founding, the SWAP Trust has improved the lives of thousands of deserving individuals, regardless of their caste, creed, race or religion, by providing various sustainable and supportive projects. Beneficiaries of the projects and programs are from various groups of deserving communities.

OUR MISSION

  • Empowering women from marginalized communities, including widows, disabled, and abandoned elderly women, through income generation activities and other need of supports.
  • Educating the children who come from poor and vulnerable communities—orphaned, deserted, impoverished, physically challenged, and from other disadvantaged sections of the society.
  • Providing nutritional supplements and organizing free medical camps for sick people who are deprived and unreachable by adequate medical facilities.

OUR VISION

SWAP Trust envisions to establish a self-sufficient community with healthcare support, vocational training programs, and income-generating activities that improves the quality-of-life of economically disadvantaged ,marginalized, vulnerable and poor communities.
